Guest Macnas
You'll be lucky Molly, if you can get one that's not an antique. Next you'll be wanting a crane!

Guest Macnas
Molly A crane is a jib arm with a hooked end, on a pivoting post. It's positioned at the side of the fire, the kettle or skillet pot is hung over the hook, and swung into place over the fire. This allows you to move the kettle in and out of the heat without roasting your hand to a crisp. Much like cast-iron kettles, you don't see them very often anymore. Guest Ditch_Shitter
Place in Carrick's said to hold them, Moll. I was talking to Billy Bunters wife about them as she drove me home the other night. I said to her that all his stuff seemed to be repro' touristy shit, but she assured me that he does have the real kit tucked about the place. I'll need to be down there within the next week or two. I wouldn't object to a mooch through that place myself. No idea what his prices will be like, but being cast? F*cks me! Ye'll probably end up paying more for shipping than for the damn kettle! I got lucky here. Inherited a Huge beast of a thing that was sitting on the range waiting for me. Ally. Obviously well old and well used. Takes the heat from the hot plate no problem. Cold dead hands material, that thing! Integral part of the cottage 'Kiddle Crane'? Bloke had a vast one on his front lawn down the way. I'll trespass in search of a decent shot of it one of these days He has the kettle, pot, the lot hanging off it. And, of course, that's what ye'll be after next isn't it, doughnut? F*cking Stew Pot! 'Witches Cauldron' job I'll keep my eyes open
